When this sweet girl’s mom came to me to talk about her 1-year cake smash, she had a great vision for the set; a Cincinnati skyline featuring Godzilla as the baby. So fun!!

I love when clients come to me with super unique ideas for their cake smash session. When Mom booked this session I was over the moon excited about the theme: Godzilla Takes Over Cincinnati. I immediately contacted my favorite bakery, Tres Belle Cakes to create the perfect cake! Then scoured Etsy for the perfect Godzilla outfit to fit the color scheme. Once those items were lined up, I worked with a local artist to sketch the perfect Cincinnati Skyline, comic book style! I love how everything came together!

This sweet girl did not disappoint and kept with the theme. She went straight to destroying the cake like a little Godzilla.

My favorite moment was when she went head first into the cake!

After every smash, we wrap up with a nice warm bubble bath. This tiny Godzilla could not be contained ha! She had the best time splashing and making a giant mess.

Happy First Birthday, Olivia!

I love being a Cincinnati Cake Smash Photographer. Why? Because, I love nothing more than watching the sweet newborns I have photographed grow into beautiful toddlers! Especially when they turn out to be a super sweet, adorable little brown eyed girl with amazing hair! We treated this little girl to the most amazing unicorn cake smash.

Oliva’s Mom gave me full control over the theme and design for this session up and it came together perfectly. I have been dying to do a unicorn themed cake smash for months so this was my perfect opportunity and it came out perfectly! So we went with a pink, teal and purple, unicorn set, and an beautiful delicious cake from Tres Belle Cakes in Cincinnati! I found the perfect backdrops from Intuitions Backgrounds to go with the unicorn theme I had in mind.

Olivia was not into the cake at all. I had to pull out all my tricks to get her to be interested hahaha. Luckily I have seen it all as a Cincinnati Cake Smash Photographer and have tons of tricks up my sleeve to get some amazing images even when your child isn’t having it. Once she got comfortable she made some of the cutest faces imaginable while eating her cake and splashing in the tub.

The Buckley’s

Being a Cincinnati maternity photographer is such a privilege. Katie and I have been talking for months about her session. These were Katie’s first maternity portraits and I wanted to make sure they were perfect!  We decided to meet at my favorite park, Ault Park, at sunset, for her session. The sunset that evening was amazing. It gave off such a gorgeous glow. Mother nature showed off her beautiful colors.

Katie, thank you for choosing me to be your Cincinnati Maternity photographer. I can’t wait to meet your little man next week for his newborn session.

The Hale Family

Being a Cincinnati Family Photographer! Photographing this sweet family is always a honor and a great time! They moved to Texas last year and made time to come and see me while they were in town for the holidays. It was a brisk 30 degrees for their Cincinnati Family session, a far cry from the warm temps they are used to in Texas but they were champs and braved the freezing temps for a quick and beautiful session. Martha and Tom, thanks for trusting me again with capturing your family! I always love seeing you guys <3 HeatherCincinnati Family PhotographyCincinnati Family PhotographyCincinnati Family PhotographyCincinnati Family PhotographyCincinnati Family PhotographyCincinnati Family PhotographyCincinnati Family Photography

Theo’s newborn session ended up being a two day affair after he woke up from the first part of our session with a very angry belly! Despite our best efforts to calm him after 2 hours, we decided to call it a day and finish up his individual portraits another day. When he came day for part two of his newborn session, he and his belly were much happier and we sailed through the individual shots in a hour. As you can see in these pictures Theo is so loved by his big sister who was such a sweet “little Mama” during the session. Are you expecting? Let’s chat about setting up a newborn session for your family!

Sarah and Casey contacted me about a month out from their due date about doing some maternity pictures and newborn photos. The Bumps to Babies package is always a favorite with Moms. Capturing what your body is capable of doing and the miracle that is cuddled up inside is something Moms really cherish. After a few emails back and forth we settled on heading down to Smale Park in downtown Cincinnati. I did my own maternity pictures there a year ago to almost the day and fell in love with all the improvements the city of Cincinnati had made. We opted for a sunset session and Mother nature didn’t disappoint. I fell in love with these two and they totally rocked their session. Their excitement to be parents was obvious. Weston surprised us all when he arrive 5 weeks early. I guess he was just so excited about his newborn session, he made his appearance early. We had just shot Tara and Erik’s maternity session the week before. I had no sooner clicked send on their gallery when I got the email that Weston had arrived early and healthy. He was such a rock start through the entire session and barely made a peep. I could have photographed him all day long but all good things have to come to an end so here are some of my favorites. Thank you so much Tara and Erik for letting me snuggle Weston!  I hope to see more of you guys as Weston grows <3 HeatherCincinnati Family PhotographerCincinnati Newborn baby PhotographerCincinnati Newborn PhotographyCincinnati Ohio baby PhotographerGreater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Newborn PhotographerGreater Cincinnati baby PhotographerGreater Cincinnati Newborn PhotographerNewborn Photographer CincinnatiCincinnati Premier baby PhotographerCincinnati Premier Newborn PhotographerCincinnati Ohio Newborn PhotographerCincinnati Newborn PhotographerCincinnati Newborn boy PhotographerCincinnati Baby PhotographerNewborn photography in Cincinnati

Every week I get to meet some of the best families in Cincinnati, and this family is no different. I met Stacey and her family through my husband. He was teaching a class that Stacey was taking, we got connected and quickly got a date for family pictures on the books. Of course, anyone who lives in Cincinnati knows how unpredictable the weather can be here and that the weather can change at a moments notice. As with all my sessions, I was stalking the weather app no my phone watching to see what was going to happen. The forecast was calling for scattered showers and the clouds were dark. Thankfully right when our session started the sun poked through and gave us the most gorgeous sun drenched pictures! The entire family was gorgeous and couldn’t take a bad picture even if they tried. Thanks guys for trusting me with your family pictures. I hope you love them for years to come

It sounds so cliche but, I really can’t believe my baby just turned one! Samuel’s Cake Smash is something I have been thinking about since I was pregnant with him. Since I plan so many cake smash sessions for other Cincinnati Mom’s coming up with something original was a struggle. My husband and I went back and forth on so many different ideas and decided that one of the advantages of owning your own studio is that I could do as many different sessions as I wanted for his birthday and not have to settle on just one theme. So, when I found this amazing Max costume from Pottery Barn Kids, I was completely sold on a Where the Wild Things Are cake smash session. Since I had recently done a Where the Wild Things Are cake smash session for another family, I already owned the backdrop, wood slice cake stand, and paper for the floor. So, the only thing left was the poofs that my 4 year old and I made together using a Pinterest tutorial and ordering the cake from a custom baker here in Cincinnati. I’m in love with the results and even more impressed my son tolerated wearing the costume throughout the entire session! I hope you love this as much as I do. Stay tuned for round two of birthday pictures coming this weekend 🙂 Consider yourself warned hahahaha Cincinnati Cake Smash Photography.jpgCake Smash Photographer.jpgCincinnati Cake Smash.jpgCincinnati Ohio Cake Smash Photographer.jpgCincinnati Cake Smash Session.jpgCincinnati Ohio Cake Smash Photography.jpgCake Smash Photographer Cincinnati Ohio.jpgCake Smash Photography Cincinnati Ohio.jpg

Tara and Erik’s maternity session was nothing short of perfection! We started the session out on Hyde Park Square because Tara had her heart set on both Urban maternity portraits in front of the Hyde Park fire station and a few park photos. So after we wrapped up the session at Hyde Park square we headed over to Ault Park for a few portraits. Of course as soon as we arrived, we noticed a wedding in progress which limited some of the locations Tara had in mind so, we improvised! Her beautiful white gown was perfect for the warm sunny evening we had and as the sun set, magic happend. I loved everything about this session. Now I can hardly wait for their little man to arrive in a few weeks Cincinnati Maternity SessionMaternity Photographer Cincinnati Fire Station Maternity photoCincinnati Maternity PhotographerMaternity Photographer CincinnatiCincinnati Ohio PhotographerMaternity Photographer Cincinnati OhioCincinnati Maternity PhotographyCincinnati maternity photographerCincinnati PhotographerMaternity photographer Cincinnati OhioMaternity photographer Cincinnati Ohio
