When this sweet girl’s mom came to me to talk about her 1-year cake smash, she had a great vision for the set; a Cincinnati skyline featuring Godzilla as the baby. So fun!!

I love when clients come to me with super unique ideas for their cake smash session. When Mom booked this session I was over the moon excited about the theme: Godzilla Takes Over Cincinnati. I immediately contacted my favorite bakery, Tres Belle Cakes to create the perfect cake! Then scoured Etsy for the perfect Godzilla outfit to fit the color scheme. Once those items were lined up, I worked with a local artist to sketch the perfect Cincinnati Skyline, comic book style! I love how everything came together!

This sweet girl did not disappoint and kept with the theme. She went straight to destroying the cake like a little Godzilla.

My favorite moment was when she went head first into the cake!

After every smash, we wrap up with a nice warm bubble bath. This tiny Godzilla could not be contained ha! She had the best time splashing and making a giant mess.

Cincinnati Watch Me Grow Packages | Maternity, Newborn, and 1-Year-Old Cake Smash Photos

In the two years from the time you get pregnant until your baby celebrates their first birthday, your life is filled with more changes than any other time in your life. The time goes even more quickly than you can imagine!

Maternity

Maternity sessions are done indoors or outdoors, and I am always happy to assist with ideas!  We can choose the color palate and set option that you love for indoor sessions. For outdoor sessions, we’ll talk about the look and feel of the session that you are going for and build on your dreams. These photos are so important because they show your children, just how loved they were before they were even born.

Newborn Photos

Taken in the first few weeks after baby is born, these sessions mark the fleeting time of a newborn baby and all the sweetness they bring. From those tiny fingers and downy hair, every little bit of your baby is captured! So you’ll remember what it was like when you met your little love. These sessions are done in the studio, and parents are encouraged to be photographed in the session too!

6 Month Session/9 Month Session

There are so many changes in a baby’s life between 6 and 9 months! They go from being a squishy little butterbean to sitting up on their own and engaging with people and the outside world. You can do one of these sessions or both. I love both because it’s really amazing to see the difference in these photos that are only three months apart!

1-Year Old Cake Smash

The iconic celebration! We’ll celebrate this remarkable year in the studio with a cake for the birthday kid to taste (or smash, or smush!)  as well as some beautiful portraits of them on a set of your choosing to mark the occasion. These sessions are when we really see their personality shine!

In the topsy-turvy world that 2020 has become, there’s nothing that can remind you that there are still so many good and simple things like a beautiful little baby born to two loving parents.

Little Miss Eloise may have come into a world that felt a little uncertain, but there’s no doubt this little beauty is here to make life a little sweeter. She is just such a total love, and we had so much fun together during her watch me grow session!

With her creamy skin, big blue eyes, and adorable shock of ginger hair, I knew a lighter colored background would show off all of her best features.

I love when babies give me so many different “looks” during their portrait sessions, and Eloise did not disappoint. Big gummy smiles, intense model-like looks staring directly into the camera, and she also showed me her favorite game, laying on her back and playing with her toes.

That Hair! No Product Needed

And that hair! No product needed, please, Miss Eloise has her own style, and I bet next time I see her those sweet little sprouts will have grown into some lovely locks. The best part about watch me grow sessions is seeing how different babies are in just a few short months!

The best part about my watch me grow sessions is you can customize anywhere from bump to the first year. I have several different plans depending on how many sessions you want, and how many milestones you want to be recorded.

Great outfit choices all around were made here, from sweet little dresses to a custom-monogrammed diaper cover, and let’s talk about that onesie!  What a great way to infuse a little humor into the session!

Margot is the fastest Cake Smasher to date and tore through her yummy cake in a flash! We are looking forward to the next milestone session with Margot at 18 months.

It’s hard to believe another 3 months have passed since this sweet boys 3 month portraits. Being a Cincinnati, Ohio Baby Photographer I look forward to milestone sessions. Each time these sweet babies are in the studio that have grown so much!

William came into the studio to see my for his 6 month sitter session and goodness, has he grown. He made my job so easy. As much as William has changed physically, he is the same chill baby he has been since he was a newborn now as a sitter.

Big sister was nice enough to come with him so we had her hop in a few pictures with her baby brother too. So cute!

Margot’s Sitter Session

This adorable little baby came to the studio for her 6 month sitter session. Her sitter session was styled with classic whites & grays and she came dressed in a classic & timeless dress. It was just too cute! She was a smiley little one with the prettiest eyes and adorable little cheeks.  Even though her pensive look is completely heart melting, her adorable smiles lit up the room! Boy did she made us work for it!! Being a Cincinnati, Ohio baby photographer, I have plenty of tricks up my sleeve to get a smile! It sounds so cliche but, I really can’t believe my baby just turned one! Samuel’s Cake Smash is something I have been thinking about since I was pregnant with him. Since I plan so many cake smash sessions for other Cincinnati Mom’s coming up with something original was a struggle. My husband and I went back and forth on so many different ideas and decided that one of the advantages of owning your own studio is that I could do as many different sessions as I wanted for his birthday and not have to settle on just one theme. So, when I found this amazing Max costume from Pottery Barn Kids, I was completely sold on a Where the Wild Things Are cake smash session. Since I had recently done a Where the Wild Things Are cake smash session for another family, I already owned the backdrop, wood slice cake stand, and paper for the floor. So, the only thing left was the poofs that my 4 year old and I made together using a Pinterest tutorial and ordering the cake from a custom baker here in Cincinnati. I’m in love with the results and even more impressed my son tolerated wearing the costume throughout the entire session! I hope you love this as much as I do. I adore Ryan, actually I adore Ryan and his entire family. He and his parents drive to see in Cincinnati, Ohio all the way from Nashville every 3 months for pictures. They actually moved a few days after his newborn session. This family is full of serious rock stars. Ryan just keeps getting cuter each time I see him and I can hardly ever wait to see him for his Watch Me Grow Sessions <3 It’s hard to believe we are going to be planning this little guy’s first birthday session in May! Ellie’s Mom and I met online in a Cincinnati, (Oakley) Ohio Mom’s group when another Mom was looking for a photographer. Of course I chimed in offering my services. After all, there is nothing I am more passionate about than babies, Mom’s, and Mom’s getting lasting memories of their babies during each milestone of their short infancy.
