When this sweet girl’s mom came to me to talk about her 1-year cake smash, she had a great vision for the set; a Cincinnati skyline featuring Godzilla as the baby. So fun!!

I love when clients come to me with super unique ideas for their cake smash session. When Mom booked this session I was over the moon excited about the theme: Godzilla Takes Over Cincinnati. I immediately contacted my favorite bakery, Tres Belle Cakes to create the perfect cake! Then scoured Etsy for the perfect Godzilla outfit to fit the color scheme. Once those items were lined up, I worked with a local artist to sketch the perfect Cincinnati Skyline, comic book style! I love how everything came together!

This sweet girl did not disappoint and kept with the theme. She went straight to destroying the cake like a little Godzilla.

My favorite moment was when she went head first into the cake!

After every smash, we wrap up with a nice warm bubble bath. This tiny Godzilla could not be contained ha! She had the best time splashing and making a giant mess.

Happy First Birthday, Aldon!

As a Cincinnati, Ohio Cake Smash Photographer, one of my favorite parts of my job is watching these beautiful babies grow! I can hardly believe this sweet boy is graduating from my Bumps to Birthday program!  Being a Cincinnati Cake Smash Photographer can be bitter sweet. It’s always sad when these sweet kids have their last big milestone session with me and I don’t get to see them every 3 months!

It seems like just yesterday that I had sweet baby Aldon in the studio for his Newborn Photography Session. 

 

Today I had the great honor of capturing his Cake Smash Session. And my how he’s grown this year!Aldon was a little apprehensive to smash his cake at first, this is pretty normal. He began by eating the acorns off the cake. It was quite cute. Then he decided he was done and it was time to jump in the bath tub!

I was so excited to shoot Charlotte’s newborn portraits. When I met Sarah and Casey for their maternity session, they were just so wonderful and super excited to become parents so I knew going in these pictures were going to be amazing. I love when families book the Bumps to Babies package because it gives us time to get to know each other, develop a bit of a bond, and chit chat about what the nursery is going to look like, and just become friends. Then when the newborn session rolls around its like meeting an old friend for coffee

When Sarah mentioned that they were doing Charlotte’s nursery in a woodland theme I may have squealed a little because I have had this beautiful woodland themed set up for months that I was just dyyiinngg to use!

Really, I just love everything about this sweet little session and the love these parents have for this little girl just radiates off the screen. Sarah and Casey thank you so much for trusting me to capture such a beautiful milestone in your family. I can’t wait to start on your album

Introducing Miss Brooklyn 🙂 She made her entrance into this world a week early and couldn’t be any sweeter. She was my soundest sleeper to date and by far the curliest 🙂 Donna & Casey, thank you so much for trusting me to capture Brooklyn’s first portraits. She is absolutely perfect!  I could have photographed her all day <3 Heather

Donna and Casey are two of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet.  Casey is currently finishing up his last 6 months in the Air force. With the possibility of being deployed, we were nervous that he wouldn’t be around for the maternity session.  I am so glad he was able to be here for pictures. The love these two have for each other is unmistakable and shines through in these photos.   I can hardly wait to meet their baby girl later this month! Congratulations , I am so looking forward to our next session together <3 Heather
