There’s nothing like the combination of Christmas and children.  It’s nothing short of magical seeing the world through their eyes at that time of the year. Do you remember when you first met Santa?

Magical Sets

When I dream up what these sessions will be like I always try to make sure everything is perfect, so the experience is incredible for the kids. I approach the scene with a different look every year to make it fun and fresh. I consider every single prop and placement of the decorations.

For the kids, this is more than a photo session!  They get cookies and a gift from the jolly old elf himself! I know that for many of them, this is going to be their first memory of meeting Santa and that’s really special to me.

Cozy in their jammies or dressed in their Christmas best, they get to sit with Santa and talk about their year, what Christmas means to them, and of course, what they hope will be left under the tree.

This is so much fun for the kids and so peaceful and wonderous. Not at all like standing in a line in the mall and being put in a stranger’s lap!

Christmas Storybooks

This was the first year that I made the Christmas Storybooks, and they were a huge hit!  I’ll definitely be doing those again because everyone thought they made the perfect Christmas present.

This year, I wanted a nighttime scene to give a sense of quiet wonder for the sessions. Soft lamplight, muted tones, and a sense of Silent Night are what I was thinking.

After the sessions, I wanted that “twinkly Christmas feeling,” so special editing on the Christmas tree, bags and lamps were applied. I think you can feel the magic in these photos!

These sessions were such a joy to photograph, and I love the cuddles and the laughter. It is so gratifying to see my clients share their storybook with their loved ones. Don’t miss this event next year!

Cincinnati, Ohio Santa Sessions | Cincinnati Family Photographer

I love being a Cincinnati Family Photographer. Once of the big reasons is because every year, I get to host tons of Cincinnati families in my Norwood studio for my annual Santa Sessions!  This year  my best year yet! So many cute kids dressed in their coordinating pajamas.

This year I went with a classic Christmas theme for the sets.  I used lots of dark reds and buffalo check patterns to coordinate with Santa’s dark red suit. Target’s Christmas line this year was on point for all my props!

Kids came dressed in their cutest Christmas dresses and holiday vests. Then changed into their Christmas jammies and had milk and custom cookies by Sugar & Icing Custom Cookie.

I had so much fun working with my families during our Santa Sessions this past holiday! I really enjoyed putting together all of the props and scenes and making everything feel Christmasy. The kids especially enjoyed the milk and cookies. And of course, Santa was as wonderful and jovial as ever.

It’s that time of year again… It’s time to start thinking about holiday pictures with Santa!
This years event is going to be our best yet! I can hardly wait!

As always we have a real Santa coming to see us.  This is a great time for your children to go over their Christmas list with Santa, read a story, ask questions about reindeer, etc.

We will have a large couch set up for those who would like family pictures without Santa as well area for holiday photos of children without Santa. Families are welcome to come early and listen to Christmas tunes while enjoying hot chocolate, cookies & other goodies from the North Pole. We will have all the supplies available for kids to work on their Christmas list & pick up some magic reindeer food for Christmas Eve.

This is sure to be a magical day to remember!

There really is nothing better than kids dressed up in their Christmas clothes. Seeing all the kids in their Christmas jammies and holiday dresses made me swoon! Here are a few images from our recent Santa sessions that are sure to put you in the holiday spirit!

Yes, we admit that talking about Santa before, well, before Halloween is bad form.  But we think you might want to hear this.  Plus if we wait until after Thanksgiving it is literally going to be too late!

Why?

Because on November 11, we’re going to be having a personal photography session with Santa.  Yes.  That’s right.  In two weeks!  Forget the lines at the Mall.  Forget the crummy Santa who smells like the Chinese place at the food court, we’re talking about a real Santa.  One with a real beard, round belly, and a big red coat.

Yep, we think you’re going to love him.
