Happy First Birthday, Reed!

As a Cincinnati, Ohio Cake Smash Photographer, one of my favorite parts of my job is watching these beautiful babies grow!

It seems like just yesterday that I had sweet baby Reed in the studio for her Newborn Photography Session.

Today I had the great honor of capturing her Cake Smash Session. And my how she’s grown!

Reed was a little apprehensive to smash her cake at first, as this is not something of the norm. She began by slowly picking at the cake and eating tiny bits of icing…. It was quite sweet.

But soon she settled right in. She took a few nibbles, then decided to dive right into her giant cake!

The Santer Family

I had such a wonderful time with this sweet family. This was their first time having family portraits taken. Dad had given his wife this as a Mother’s Day gift (well done Chris!). This family knew exactly where they wanted to have pictures taken when they contacted me. We decided to meet at Findlay Market. I have lived in Cincinnati my entire life and can’t believe I had never been down to this Cincinnati staple. There are so many unique backdrops and bright colors that make shooting a family session so much fun! I’m telling ‘ya, being a Cincinnati Family Photographer has some amazing perks. Pair this amazing little corner of the city with an incredibly adorable family and you have the start of something magical 🙂

We found some perfect little places for pictures, like this awesome garage. Even if it was a little stinky and smelled like dead fish… Ewww! But it made for some funny faces and big smiles for boys who thought it was both gross and hilarious!

Mid way through the session we decided to hop on the Cincinnati Street car (also a first for me!) and head over to Washington Park for a few shots as the sunset behind Music Hall.

Sunset’s in downtown Cincinnati never disappoint!  The warm glow of the sun with the beautiful red Terra Cotta color of Music Hall always make the artist in me swoon <3

Having pictures at Washington Park wouldn’t be complete without some pictures in front of the fountains, so, that’s what we did!

Happy Birthday Bailey!

Boy, do I love being a Cincinnati, Ohio Cake Smash Photographer! There isn’t much I enjoy more than a First Birthday Cake Smash. I especially enjoy a cake smash session one with a super sweet, adorable little girly girl!

We treated this little gal to the most amazing first birthday cake smash. We went with a white, pink and gold set, and an beautiful delicious cake from her Mama’s bakery, JB Sweets in Cincinnati! Bailey’s pink and gold cake smash session was so much fun! Mom made a post in our local Mom’s group a few months about getting a cake smash session set up for the birthday girl. I couldn’t image this session coming together more perfectly. Bailey was an absolute blast and made some of the cutest faces imaginable while eating her cake, giggling with Mom and Dad, and splashing in the tub.

I am so excited to offer these cake smash sessions for my clients.
