One of the best parts of living in Cincinnati is that we get four seasons to take photos in! I love every season for different reasons, mostly because of the variety we can take advantage of.

Summer Fun Sessions

Outdoor sessions in the summer are one of my favorites because the longer days mean that time seems to slow down a little bit. Is there anything better than that perfect summer evening near sunset when it’s warm enough to not even need a light sweater?  

It’s the perfect time for family photos because the kids are off school, and we can play a little bit along with taking photos. There’s a ton of options to do the photos from your own backyard to one of our many parks; ask me and I’m happy to give you suggestions on locations!

All Outdoor Child and Family sessions include 60-90 minutes of photography and 25 digitally retouched images. You can feel that slight nip of fall in the air in the mornings now, so if you want summer-like photos then schedule ASAP here!

Fall Minis Are Coming!

Bright and bold sunflower minis at Cottel Park, fall mini sessions at French Park and at Ault Park are some of our favorite locations. Each offers a different look and has different backdrops that you will love.

These sessions are a favorite because they are quick and easy. You’ll get 8 digitally retouched images to freshen up your family portfolio to print and display those you love most.

One-Year-Old Cake Smashes

No matter when your little one turns one, cake smash sessions in the studio are great fun. These themed sessions are custom-designed for you!  We share a Pinterest board and it’s so much fun to see the vision come to life!

These sessions include a custom-designed birthday cake, balloons, and decorations to match. We finish the session with a warm bubble bath, which makes for adorable photos, and a clean kid to take home!

Hyde Park Baby Photography and Fall Fun with Emmerson.

Photo sessions like this should be mandatory for 18-month kids! All they do is play, and I follow them around capturing time between baby and toddler with my camera. It is magical.

At this age, it’s all you can do to keep up with them!

Emmerson was living his best life! Blonde curls bouncing, blue eyes snapping, we took a wander around and let him explore.  

 I think that these types of sessions are important because, at an early age, children learn that getting their professional photos done can be FUN!

 It’s not all about stiff poses, uncomfortable clothes, and “saying cheese.” I like to let kids be kids!

No matter if we are in the studio or outside, I want to capture your children as they truly are.

Truth be told, this is one of my favorite ages because you can literally see them processing the world and everything around them.

What could be better than playing in the sunshine on a fall day, wiggling your fingers and toes in a puddle, and discovering all the things that nature gives us?

Don’t you love that look of pure joy as he reaches, muddy and happy, towards the sky?

Spending time with Emmerson was a reminder that there’s a big, bright world out there for us to be thankful for.

His orange sweatshirt was perfect and looked amazing in the autumn light that is upon us now. A cozy blanket, some fall mums, and that’s all you need to have an adorable fall-themed session.

And of course, he loved the wheelbarrow because anything with wheels is fascinating to children. We forget so quickly how interesting the world is, but children are a daily reminder of that.

Cincinnati Fall Mini Sessions 2017

It’s hard to believe but school is back in session which means, it’s already time to start thinking about Cincinnati Fall Mini Sessions! Last years event was so amazing that we have added another day to keep up with the demand. And guess what? It’s not even September and we are already over half was sold out! Here are all the details:

Cincinnati Fall Mini Sessions include:

• 20 minutes of shoot time at either Ault or French Park
  Sessions scheduled on October 14th will take place at Ault Park and sessions scheduled on October 15th will take place at French Park. Sessions on October 21st will be done at French Park.
• 20 digitally retouched images delivered in a private downloadable gallery with additional images available for purchase
• Print release with personal printing rights
• All galleries will be delivered within 10 days of your session date

Being a Cincinnati Family Photographer! Photographing this sweet family is always a honor and a great time! They moved to Texas last year and made time to come and see me while they were in town for the holidays. There isn’t much better than siblings dressed up in matching theme costumes. When my dear friend contacted me about setting up pictures in her girls Halloween costumes again this year I was thrilled. I was even more excited when I hear the girls were dressing up like superheros! So, we decided to take the the banks of Northern Kentucky so we could have the beautiful Cincinnati skyline in the background and I love the results! These girls nailed their session and I love the results <3 I hope you ladies have a fabulous Halloween trick or treating!  Thanks for being so SUPER!

Cincinnati Fall Mini Sessions 2016

As a Cincinnati Family Photographer one of my favorite events to host each year are Fall Mini Sessions. I live for playing with kids in the leaves and meeting so many new families.

Our fall mini sessions at French Park in Cincinnati last weekend couldn’t have been better! The weather was a warm, breezy, and sunny 80 degrees. The brightly colored leaves were falling from the trees creating the picture perfect backdrop for all my families. I can’t believe how lucky we got! Cincinnati, Ohio fall mini session signups are now live and going FAST. We have set aside two dates for sessions. October 15th (at French Park) and 29th (at Ault Park). Last year, mini sessions were completely so I’ve added an additional date to accommodate all my families. If you are considering updating your family photos the time is now, you don’t want to miss this!
