I absolutely loved everything about this session! The lighting was amazing, the fall leaves were perfect, and this family was a complete joy to work with! I instantly fell in love with the whole family. Their energy and enthusiasm for life is contagious! I definitely need more people like them in my life 🙂 Thanks guys for coming out and playing with me in the park, I had an absolute blast! Let’s do it again soon! <3 Heather FallPortraits-104.jpg

It’s finally my favorite time of the year for photographing kids and families! Fall, it brings out the gorgeous colors on the leaves and adorable costumes on kids! To me there isn’t much better than that! Check out this adorable session at a local pumpkin patch with one of my Watch me Grow families 🙂

Happy 7 months Elijah! I love hanging out with you every month and seeing all the new cool things you are able to do (like sitting on your own this month :)!)!

Cake Smash sessions are a such a fun way to capture the excitement of your child’s first birthday! Alison celebrated her first birthday the day after her session with me. I loved everything about this session!  Pink and purple are two of my favorite colors and I am a complete sucker for a baby in a pink tutu.

When Alison’s Mommy sent me a picture of the gorgeous cake she had ordered I nearly squealed with excitement! And I nearly died when I saw the personalized rhinestone embossed bloomer Alison’s Mommy ordered for her session!  Completely adorable!!

Here are a few pictures to share from Alison’s session! Happy First Birthday beautiful girl!  Thanks for coming to celebrate with me 🙂

There are certain perks to running your own photography business. One of them is that you get to take awesome pictures of your own kids. (Of course the drawback is that it’s hard to take the pictures while also being IN the pictures!)

At any rate, one of the things that we love doing is finding unique and creative ways to show off kids. We do it for a few reasons. One, because it’s fun. But two, because it usually let’s Dad get into the mix a little more. Let’s face it, Mom’s aren’t the only ones who want to see their children. But sometimes we want to do something just for Dad.

That’s where the inspiration came for Eli’s 9 month “birthday” picture. Just a couple of blocks away from where we live is a phone booth. That’s right, and actual phone booth where people could walk into just to use their iPhone in private! I kid. (Sort of.)

When we saw it, my husband and I decided it would be a great place to do a little tribute to our own little superman. Especially after everything he’s been through.

Seriously, can it be any cuter? Even if I am a little biased?

Now our kids will have proof that people used to need these to call one another

So why don’t you book your own session for your own little superman?

Recently I had the privilege of photographing this gorgeous little girl!  Meaghan was so funny as we went through our session together suggesting picture locations, props, and poses. She’s a complete natural!  Take a look…
