Cincinnati Ohio Holiday Mini Sessions 2016 {Cincinnati,  Northern Kentucky, Oakley, and surrounding areas}

*** UPDATE 11/18/16***

My studio Christmas sessions have passed and were amazing! I am humbled that I have continued to get requests for Mini Sessions from those who missed the event. Because of the high demand for additional Christmas Mini sessions I have decided to open up a very limited day of Christmas mini sessions in my Norwood, Ohio studio on December 3rd. Holiday Mini Sessions are 20 minutes in length and include 15 edited images with additional images available for purchase.

Sign ups for these sessions are listed at the bottom of this post :).

In addition to our (SOLD OUT!) annual Santa Sessions, I am super excited to announce that I will be hosting Christmas Mini Sessions in Cincinnati this year!  This year I will have two amazing holiday theme set ups (one for the gals and one for the guys). The first will be a Snow Princess theme for the girly girls in your family. Lots of Sparkle, snowflakes, white lights,  fabulous gowns, gorgeous tiaras, and a hair and makeup artist on hand to truly transform your child into a beautiful snow princess! My second set up I am offering is a snow ball forest set up complete with snow for blowing and “snowballs” for throwing.

For family shots I will have two amazing set ups. The first set up will be with more of a rustic/vintage feel. Creams, gold, red and green, and beautifully designed custom made Christmas cookies! And the second will be a large queen size winter wonderland bed with lots of fluffy white pillows, blankets, and a beautiful headboard for those matching family jammie photos 🙂 Here is some of the awesomeness that came out of our sessions last Christmas, take a look for yourself!

Bryant is just the sweetest little one year old around. His first birthday theme was the hungry caterpillar so naturally, we had to have a giant bushel of balloons to match.  Of course when the wind was picking up, I was sure we were going to have scene out of the movie UP. I’m kidding. Kind of. Seriously though, the balloons were strong hahaha. Happy First birthday Bryant, you are the cutest little caterpillar around. Alexis, thank you for choosing me to capture such a fun milestone for your family. <3 Heather

I was so excited to shoot Charlotte’s newborn portraits. When I met Sarah and Casey for their maternity session, they were just so wonderful and super excited to become parents so I knew going in these pictures were going to be amazing. I love when families book the Bumps to Babies package because it gives us time to get to know each other, develop a bit of a bond, and chit chat about what the nursery is going to look like, and just become friends. Then when the newborn session rolls around its like meeting an old friend for coffee

When Sarah mentioned that they were doing Charlotte’s nursery in a woodland theme I may have squealed a little because I have had this beautiful woodland themed set up for months that I was just dyyiinngg to use!

Really, I just love everything about this sweet little session and the love these parents have for this little girl just radiates off the screen. Sarah and Casey thank you so much for trusting me to capture such a beautiful milestone in your family. I can’t wait to start on your album

I met Anna when she was a tiny 7 day old. I can’t wrap my mind around the fact that this little ball of energy is 2 already! TWO! Watching “my” babies grow up is the best part of my job. Watching their little personalities emerge is something that never gets old.

Scheduling Anna’s 2nd birthday session was a bit trickier this year than it has been in the past. Mama was due any day with Anna’s baby brother and the weather had been unpredictable at best.  I swear the Cincinnati weather has been rainier this year than it has in the past. Sure enough mid session the rain started to drizzle!  Then the rain stopped out of nowhere and we were able to make these gorgeous images. Despite Mother Nature trying to litter ally rain on my parade, this session couldn’t have been more perfect. Anna was a sweet smiling princess and gave her parents some images that they can treasure as she grows up too quickly.

This family. My heart. I have been photographing this sweet family since Robert was just 10 days old. This boy has grown into the sweetest, vibrant, little love bug ever. He is a ball of unending energy and his love for his Mom and Dad is clear. I am always so grateful when I get a call about pictures. Watching this sweet boy grow has been a privileged. If only I could find a way to slow time down just a bit. I can hardly believe this boy is two already. Thanks again Rob and Sarah for allowing me to capture your memories. Let’s do it again soon <3 Heather

Every week I get to meet some of the best families in Cincinnati, and this family is no different. I met Stacey and her family through my husband. He was teaching a class that Stacey was taking, we got connected and quickly got a date for family pictures on the books. Of course, anyone who lives in Cincinnati knows how unpredictable the weather can be here and that the weather can change at a moments notice. As with all my sessions, I was stalking the weather app no my phone watching to see what was going to happen. The forecast was calling for scattered showers and the clouds were dark. Thankfully right when our session started the sun poked through and gave us the most gorgeous sun drenched pictures! The entire family was gorgeous and couldn’t take a bad picture even if they tried. Thanks guys for trusting me with your family pictures. I hope you love them for years to come

It sounds so cliche but, I really can’t believe my baby just turned one! Samuel’s Cake Smash is something I have been thinking about since I was pregnant with him. Since I plan so many cake smash sessions for other Cincinnati Mom’s coming up with something original was a struggle. My husband and I went back and forth on so many different ideas and decided that one of the advantages of owning your own studio is that I could do as many different sessions as I wanted for his birthday and not have to settle on just one theme. So, when I found this amazing Max costume from Pottery Barn Kids, I was completely sold on a Where the Wild Things Are cake smash session. Since I had recently done a Where the Wild Things Are cake smash session for another family, I already owned the backdrop, wood slice cake stand, and paper for the floor. So, the only thing left was the poofs that my 4 year old and I made together using a Pinterest tutorial and ordering the cake from a custom baker here in Cincinnati. I’m in love with the results and even more impressed my son tolerated wearing the costume throughout the entire session! I hope you love this as much as I do. Stay tuned for round two of birthday pictures coming this weekend 🙂 Consider yourself warned hahahaha Cincinnati Cake Smash Photography.jpgCake Smash Photographer.jpgCincinnati Cake Smash.jpgCincinnati Ohio Cake Smash Photographer.jpgCincinnati Cake Smash Session.jpgCincinnati Ohio Cake Smash Photography.jpgCake Smash Photographer Cincinnati Ohio.jpgCake Smash Photography Cincinnati Ohio.jpg

Oh how I love sessions at the Cincinnati Nature Center. Pair that with a completely adorable family dressed in jewel tones and I am in love! The Ellison’s contacted me a few months ago about family pictures but since Cincinnati weather in the spring is completely unpredicatable, it took a few tries to finally make it happen! Even the day of the shoot it was threatening rain and started to sprinkle mid session but we made the best of it and took what we had to work with. Thankfully Mom thought ahead and packed the rain boots so toward the end of the session everyone put on their boots and we jumped in puddles. So. Much. Fun!  Thanks for an amazingly good time guys, let’s do it again soon <3 Heather

Family portrait sessions at sunset, I just can’t get enough of them! We had to reschedule this session no less than 3 times!  Spring weather in Cincinnati is so unpredictable and it seemed like every weekend in May it would be raining when I had outdoor sessions scheduled. Kim was so understanding and took it in stride. I am so glad we decided not to power through in the rain because the light in these pictures is gorgeous and the weather we had that night was perfection!  Liam was perfectly on point with his smiles and posing, I only wish my kids were this awesome for family pictures 😉 Thanks Kim and Will for an awesome session!  I always love spending time with your family! <3 Heather
