First Birthday sessions are some of my favorite. There’s not much better than a smiling baby who has just learned to walk toddling through the park at sunrise. Pair that with two smitten parents and I am swooning. When I arrived for Elias’s session at the Voice of America Park, I noticed they were setting up for the 2016 Walk to End Alzheimer’s and got really nervous about all the people and having to Photoshop out tons of people from the background of my images. But each and every person was so kind not to photobomb my pictures and several even offered up their dogs to help get some smiles from Elias.  Overall, perfect, perfect morning!  Thank you so much Amy & Alex for trusting me to capture Elias’s First Birthday. Bryant is just the sweetest little one year old around. His first birthday theme was the hungry caterpillar so naturally, we had to have a giant bushel of balloons to match.  Of course when the wind was picking up, I was sure we were going to have scene out of the movie UP. I’m kidding. Kind of. Seriously though, the balloons were strong hahaha. Happy First birthday Bryant, you are the cutest little caterpillar around. Alexis, thank you for choosing me to capture such a fun milestone for your family. <3 Heather

I met Anna when she was a tiny 7 day old. I can’t wrap my mind around the fact that this little ball of energy is 2 already! TWO! Watching “my” babies grow up is the best part of my job. Watching their little personalities emerge is something that never gets old.

Scheduling Anna’s 2nd birthday session was a bit trickier this year than it has been in the past. Mama was due any day with Anna’s baby brother and the weather had been unpredictable at best.  I swear the Cincinnati weather has been rainier this year than it has in the past. Sure enough mid session the rain started to drizzle!  Then the rain stopped out of nowhere and we were able to make these gorgeous images. Despite Mother Nature trying to litter ally rain on my parade, this session couldn’t have been more perfect. Anna was a sweet smiling princess and gave her parents some images that they can treasure as she grows up too quickly.

Every week I get to meet some of the best families in Cincinnati, and this family is no different. I met Stacey and her family through my husband. He was teaching a class that Stacey was taking, we got connected and quickly got a date for family pictures on the books. Of course, anyone who lives in Cincinnati knows how unpredictable the weather can be here and that the weather can change at a moments notice. As with all my sessions, I was stalking the weather app no my phone watching to see what was going to happen. The forecast was calling for scattered showers and the clouds were dark. Thankfully right when our session started the sun poked through and gave us the most gorgeous sun drenched pictures! The entire family was gorgeous and couldn’t take a bad picture even if they tried. Thanks guys for trusting me with your family pictures. I hope you love them for years to come

Ellie’s Mom and I met online in a Cincinnati, (Oakley) Ohio Mom’s group when another Mom was looking for a photographer. Of course I chimed in offering my services. After all, there is nothing I am more passionate about than babies, Mom’s, and Mom’s getting lasting memories of their babies during each milestone of their short infancy. Ellie’s Mom messaged me almost instantly after my posting on the other Mom’s post asking to get something set up. We had so much fun emailing back and forth, setting up the perfect session for her girls and I am in love with the results!
