Happy Birthday, Hadley!

As a Cincinnati, Ohio Cake Smash Photographer, one of my favorite parts of my job is celebrating milestones with families, especially first birthdays!

This weekend I had the great honor of capturing Hadley’s first birthday, Cake Smash Session. And my how cute she is!

 

Hadley was a little apprehensive to smash her cake at first, as this is not something of the norm. She began by delicately sticking one finger at a time in the back of the cake…. It was quite cute.

But soon she settled right in. She took a few nibbles, then decided to pick up a big chunk of the cake!

And what’s a first birthday cake smash session without a bubble bath to clean up afterwards?

Introducing Avery

Being a Cincinnati, Newborn Photographer comes with certain perks! I am usually one of the first people contacted when families announce the birth of their child! So let me start by saying, a big congratulations to Jessica and Colin on the birth of their sweet baby girl, Avery! She was born on March 23rd weighing 5lbs 8oz.

One of the best parts about being a Cincinnati, Newborn Photographer is meeting new families. I had the pleasure of hosting this beautiful family at my studio in Cincinnati last week. Avery was exactly 15 days old when we met, just perfect for the sleepy and snugly newborn photography poses. Her sweet and gentle nature made this session so much fun to work on!

All too often, parents stay tucked behind the camera doing their best to capture memories of their little ones as they grow. While this is better than not having any photos at all, it seems like someone is constantly left out.

This stage is so very short that I always encourage both mom and dad to be in a few of the photos during our Cincinnati Newborn Photography sessions. This gives me the opportunity to capture images of everyone together and create keepsakes that the family will cherish forever.

One of the most memorable moments during Avery’s session was when the proud big sister joined the photos. We’d been planning these pictures for weeks and I love how they turned out!

The love Jessica has for her daughter just poured out of her. Everyone talks about the glow that expecting mothers have while pregnant, but this mama was glowing like crazy with the baby in her arms – exuding grace and admiration as she held sweet Avery.

Newborn photography is my passion and I am so thankful for every opportunity to work with the sweet babies of Cincinnati, Ohio. Being a Cincinnati, Newborn Photographer is the best job ever! I love watching them grow and look forward to the milestones, cake smash, and family photo sessions to come!

Meet Juliet

Oh. My. Goodness!  Look at this sweet angel!

Juliet’s in-home newborn session was a Cincinnati, Ohio Newborn Photographer’s dream come true. Upon arriving for Juliet’s newborn session, I was struck by her beautiful eyes and tiny little features. Her sweet little wisps of hair made my heart swoon. Juliet is one of the most content newborns I have ever had the privilege to photograph. Look at this sweet session. I think you’ll agree… she’s as cute as they come!

Awwww… Look at him!

Newborn session’s make my heart so happy. There’s nothing better than the sweet smell of a brand new baby! Jacob’s Cincinnati, Ohio Newborn session was a photographers dream session. I just love being a Cincinnati, Ohio Newborn Photographer! I have been photographing this sweet family since big brother, Liam turned one. Liam has grown into such a great big brother and he loves his baby brother so much. Jacob’s parents are equally smitten. I mean look at that sweet face! Can you blame them?!

Mommy brought all the cute hats for this session, they worked perfectly! Unlike many babies, Jacob slept through his entire session and didn’t mind all the wardrobe and posing changes. Jacob loved being wrapped and cuddled which resulted in some super adorable images. We photographed this session in the front room of this family’s home right in Daddy’s office and it worked perfectly! I couldn’t have asked for a easier or a better session <3

Kim and Will, thank you for trusting me to capture Jacob’s first portraits. He is so adorable and perfect in every way! I loved seeing Liam as a big brother and spending the morning with you guys. I can’t wait to see you guys for the next milestone sometime soon!

Introducing Keller

One of the best parts of being a Cincinnati Newborn Photographer is meeting my best friends for the first time! Miss Keller was such a sweet little bundle of joy during her newborn session. She slept like a dream for her session and was the perfect newborn model. Keller loved being posed and wrapped. This made some beautiful images.

I am so thankful for my dear friend Tera for referring this sweet family to me. I loved snuggling this sweet bundle and playing with Keller’s amazing big sister.

Meet Elliott

Awwwwwww, look at this sweet girl! Being a Cincinnati Baby Photographer is something I love. I couldn’t wait to blog this sweet 6-month portrait session.

I first spoke with Elliot’s Mom 2 days before their session. Due to sickness and scheduling issues, they weren’t able to get Elliott’s pictures taken when they had planned and it was super important to Mom to get these pictures in before her sweet girl turned 7 months.  My schedule happened to have a last minute session available so it worked out perfectly.

Meeting an amazing new family and capture some timeless images of their sweet daughter is why I love being a Cincinnati Baby Photographer. Elliott is just the most photogenic 6 months old. I love this session because of how simple it is – and of course, the adorable family. This photography session is classic and clean and will stand the test of time.

Six month old Elliott couldn’t be more adorable in her simple cream and pink outfit and white diaper cover. I love how in every image you can see little glimpses into Elliott’s personality. Those bright blue eyes and long eyelashes were mesmerizing . You can see how fascinated she is with sitting up on her own – one of the many milestones during the first year.

Oh sweet Elliot, you are simply adorable! Thank you for coming to see me last week! And Tracy, thank you for trusting me to capture such a fun milestone for your daughter and choosing me to be your Cincinnati Baby Photographer.

Happy Birthday Bailey!

Boy, do I love being a Cincinnati, Ohio Cake Smash Photographer! There isn’t much I enjoy more than a First Birthday Cake Smash. I especially enjoy a cake smash session one with a super sweet, adorable little girly girl!

We treated this little gal to the most amazing first birthday cake smash. We went with a white, pink and gold set, and an beautiful delicious cake from her Mama’s bakery, JB Sweets in Cincinnati! Bailey’s pink and gold cake smash session was so much fun! Mom made a post in our local Mom’s group a few months about getting a cake smash session set up for the birthday girl. I couldn’t image this session coming together more perfectly. Bailey was an absolute blast and made some of the cutest faces imaginable while eating her cake, giggling with Mom and Dad, and splashing in the tub.

I am so excited to offer these cake smash sessions for my clients. I was so excited tobe hired to be Remi’s Cincinnati Cake Smash Photographer. I met Remi through her Grammie who hired me to shoot her portraits as a first birthday gift.

Nothing is more fun than a First Birthday Cake Smash, especially one with chandeliers, gold polka dots, tutu’s, and tulle pom poms, with the most adorable little girl! Remi’s pink, mint, and gold cake smash session was so much fun!

Remi’s Grammie contacted me a few weeks about setting this session up and it came together perfectly. Remi was a absolute blast to photograph and made some of the cutest faces imaginable while smashing her cake and splashing in the tub.

The part of a first birthday session that everyone looks forward to is smashing the cake. We treated this little girl to the most amazing first birthday cake smash with a pink, mint, and gold set, and a beautiful, delicious cake from 3 Sweet Girls Cakery in Cincinnati! They executed my vision perfectly, it was almost too pretty to smash <3

But Remi made sure to get the cake smashing started quickly and pushed her cake right off the stand. So cute!

The best part of a cake smash comes at the end, when we clean the birthday girl up in my claw foot tub, with a nice warm bubble bath <3

I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again, I love being a Cincinnati, Ohio Cake Smash Photographer! I can’t believe we are already celebrating Tucker’s first birthday with a Woodland themed cake smash session. I feel like it was just a few months ago when I was shooting his newborn portraits!
