Welcome to my little slice of heaven. This space all started as a surprise from (my then) fiancé as a 30th birthday present. Photography had been a passion of mine since I took my first class in high school. I went on to pursue Fine art in college but ended up following another passion of mine, working with student with special needs. My husband knew that owning my own business was a passion I had always wanted to pursue but, due to a whole host of fears, I was never able to take that plunge alone. The morning of my 30th birthday, an email popped up, that had a link to follow. My husband had purchased a domain for my website. Oh the tears… You know the ones… the big fat happy tears that just won’t stop. It was then, HES was born.
I am a born and raised Cincinnati native. Through my business I have been blessed to not only meet some of the best families in Cincinnati, but am also lucky enough to now call many of those families friends J My husband often lovingly teases me that I know everyone in Cincinnati… I wish!
I am an extroverted wife to a wonderful husband. I am momma to two incredible kids, Isabella (9 ¾) & Eli (3), who are growing up WAAAYYY too fast! I love celebrating life and loving on the people in my life. Our family loves Jesus and we chase after Him with all our heart. My husband is the love of my life and my kids are my world. I love cuddling on the couch a good cup of coffee & a blanket. My morning coffee dates with my husband are the highlight of my week.
During the week, you will find me working with high school juniors and seniors at a local high school. The weekends you will find me all over Cincinnati on shoots, hanging out with my kiddos, or serving the community.
I love kids with all my heart and found it to be my calling to advocate on their behalf. I am a glutton for punishment and still remain Cincinnati Bengals fan even though my beloved husband has persuaded our kids into rooting for the Steelers… I try not to hold that against him 🙂
I am a sucker for a great love story and am known for crying regularly out of happiness. I am known to be that photographer with tears rolling down her face behind the camera as a couple is saying their vows. During family sessions you’ll often times find me starting a session sitting on the floor playing with your kids and building a relationship with them. I want to know your family, and capture your family’s story.
