When Alison’s Mommy sent me a picture of the gorgeous cake she had ordered I nearly squealed with excitement! And I nearly died when I saw the personalized rhinestone embossed bloomer Alison’s Mommy ordered for her session!  Completely adorable!!

We had a great turnout, and the timing worked perfectly.  Plans are already underway to repeat the Santa Session in 2013, so if you missed your chance at getting pictures with Santa this year, well, there’s always next year!

Why?

Because on November 11, we’re going to be having a personal photography session with Santa.  Yes.  That’s right.  In two weeks!  Forget the lines at the Mall.  Forget the crummy Santa who smells like the Chinese place at the food court, we’re talking about a real Santa.  One with a real beard, round belly, and a big red coat.

Yep, we think you’re going to love him.

And yes, this is the Big Guy himself.

So what do you do?  For starters, there are only 20 spaces total, and 7 of them have already been taken.  (For those of you scoring at home, that’s only 13 spots left!)  We actually expect all of them to fill up.

So here’s the deal for those of you who like things in list form:

We think it’s a steal.  (One that won’t even get you on that Naughty List!)  We really do expect these sessions to fill up, especially for such a great rate.  So even though we sound like an infomercial – you really should contact us by e-mail, before it’s too late.

Actually that’s okay, because Halloween is a good holiday, for not being Christmas!

There are few things I love more in life than picking out Halloween costumes for my kids and taking them Trick-or-Treating.

This year, more than in the past, I was able to take a lot of pictures of kids in Halloween costumes.  And these are definitely some of my favorite pictures.  For the last two years, one of my busiest times as a photographer is Halloween.  At first this surprised me.  I get Christmas and Easter pictures.  I get summer pictures and school pictures.  I just didn’t expect Halloween.  However looking at all of the pictures from this year, I think it’s obvious why they are becoming so popular: people love sharing pictures of their cute kids (and dogs) decked out for Halloween.  And why shouldn’t they?!  Some of these costumes are adorable (or awesome if you’re a boy.)

So rest assured, we’re well protected this Halloween from the creepy crawlies, by a variety of superheroes, lions, and puppy dogs!

And I wouldn’t have it any other way!

At any rate, one of the things that we love doing is finding unique and creative ways to show off kids. We do it for a few reasons. One, because it’s fun. But two, because it usually let’s Dad get into the mix a little more. Let’s face it, Mom’s aren’t the only ones who want to see their children. But sometimes we want to do something just for Dad.

That’s where the inspiration came for Eli’s 9 month “birthday” picture. Just a couple of blocks away from where we live is a phone booth. That’s right, and actual phone booth where people could walk into just to use their iPhone in private! I kid. (Sort of.)

When we saw it, my husband and I decided it would be a great place to do a little tribute to our own little superman. Especially after everything he’s been through.

Seriously, can it be any cuter? Even if I am a little biased?

Now our kids will have proof that people used to need these to call one another

We decided to meet at Sharon Woods in the historic district. I love shooting there! With so many fun bridges, textures, and landscape options, it’s a photographers dream. Speaking of a photographers dream, these brothers made my job of photographing them so easy, it’s nearly impossible to decide which pictures to include in their gallery!
